A Mirror for the Living Room

These old pieces from dressers come in the most ambitious shapes. I've got my eye on a perfectly round one next.

This one is three feet high and two feet wide. I love the way the reflected vignettes change, according to where you stand.

And it's just the right amount of over the hill. A chipped corner. A mist blooming. A darkened spot.

Just love these old mirrors with all their aged personalities. Beautiful fern too!

Gorgeous! I've had it in mind to get more mirrors in - light is incredibly important in northern England - and now it's a certainty!

Beautiful photos! Such pretty peachy colors all together.

in my darkish house, mirrors are a salvation. I do have a perfectly round one hanging next to our coat closet for quick peeks at hats and hair before we go.

My mother has an oval, bevel-edge mirror that belonged to my great-grandmother. Starry and silvery. Such charm!

I've been following your blog for a while. Just want you to know that I enjoy it so! Lovely.

Vintage mirrors are lovely with their reflected stories that they never tell but we can imagine.
