Woodpile

A pile of logs ready to go in the wood stove. Yes.

Our family lives in an apartment in a large city. Tonight we opened our back door and was pleasantly surprised at the smell of burning wood! The fragrance was of family and warmth and marshmallows.

LOVE the pictures as always. And what a cute little dress you made for Daisy. I wish I could find patterns for boys that actually looked nice, but the patterns seem to be of the same things I can find in the shop.

faerieeva,
I have a 2 year old boy and felt the same way about sewing patterns for little boys. Very uninspiring...not worth the effort of sewing. I have began looking for and using vintage boy sewing patterns and love them. Try looking for them on ebay or at thrift stores. Also try the Children's Corner Website.

Faerieeva, I would echo what Amy said about vintage patterns! They are great, design-wise, and so much more inspiring than typical modern boy-clothes. Or you can dress in modern boy clothes but make boy pajamas. I'm hoping to start sewing pajamas for my toddler boy soon!

I wish I had a wood pile. As is I just have to get my fix on our camping trips. Woe be until Allen should try and take my hatchet!

Lovely photo. We have recently moved house and no longer have a wood stove. :( Not that we need it right now; it is summer! But I know by next June I will be missing it. Enjoy yours. :)
